Robyn Russo, who has worked with FFP since 2007, learned the art of ethical dressing at a young age: with two sisters and oodles of cousins, much of her early “shopping” was for recycled clothes in family closets. While spending last year teaching in Budapest, she discovered city’s many small design shops and became fascinated by the way artisan/craft fashion makers work, which is why she is so excited FFP embraces this side of the industry. A former journalist, she has written about stocks for Dow Jones, tractor parades and roller derbies for The Beaver County (Pa.) Times and monster truckers for The Washington Post Magazine. Robyn currently teaches English and journalism at Northern Virginia Community College.

Shoot for Change manifested after a fashion and makeup photoshoot in Stockholm, Sweden. After posting those photos on the web in November 2006, several people asked Walter to take their photos and to name his price. Considering he had just started taking pictures, he was surprised when someone asked him to do this, let alone want to actually pay him. He thought about it and a few hours later, this statement was born: “All the money from every photoshoot will go to a nonprofit organization of the client’s choice.” He typed it, marinated it, debated it, and after several days, he knew this was something he needed to do. "As we descended into the mine, all I could think about was the coal mining outfits we were wearing and how they ought to appear on the cover of Vogue." That revelation didn't exactly transform her into the globetrotting woman-of-the-world designer she is today. There is an undeniable division in Danielle Peck's voice. A bluesy pull, a reluctant smokiness that, when it breaks, yields soaring, ringing, soul-stirring power and clarity. That tantalizing slow-pour tension is a fitting reflection of the artist herself. Is she an exuberant young country singer or an experienced and purposed entertainer? Is she the self-described "plain Jane girl next door" or a statuesque brunette bombshell? Is she a former waitress fighting for her big break or a prolific songwriter who contributed eight of 11 songs to her upcoming album? Danielle Peck is all that and much more. Reid has a passion—and a knack—for philanthropy, in particular those causes that benefit AIDS awareness, women and children, the arts, and conflict-free diamond mining. She’s known for her ability to raise funds and interest and is the go-to hostess/ organizer for benefits, even on occasion opening the lawn of her East Hampton summer home for VH1 Save the Music concerts. For Reid, the measure of success isn’t the length of her list of credentials or the amount of money she’s helped raise. “If I am able to help those around me by putting a smile on their faces or recognizing the charitable efforts of another within my day, then I feel accomplished,” she says. “Ultimately, I strive to leave a positive mark on the world as an individual—one who has attempted to involve others and help them identify communities they can support.” .
